CodeClass is a niche consultancy based in the Midlands offering on-site Java training courses throughout the UK.

Our recent clients include:

• An NHS IT department
• A financial services company generating real-time insurance quotes for whom we helped to solve a production memory-leak issue
• A large consultancy offering services to the investment banking sector
• A Transport Logistics company who wanted to add bespoke Java applications to their Oracle-based Financial systems.

About Lead Java Trainer and MD - Tom Nicholls

Tom has worked in IT, primarily with object oriented languages C++ and Java, for eighteen years. He has worked as a developer, consultant and architect - mostly in the financial services/investment banking sector. From a previous life he has a PhD in Optical Physics and Astronomy from Imperial College.

The list of companies that Tom has worked for includes Reuters, Cedel International, UBS Investment Bank and Goldman Sachs.

For the past eight years, Tom has continued to work as a consultant in industry, while at the same time educating and mentoring professionals to make the most productive use possible of Java technologies.

He set up CodeClass Java Training as a response to the lack of training companies in the UK which specialise in Java and use experienced Java professionals to teach their courses.

He believes that by working to appropriate team coding practices, Java can be an incredibly productive language with which to write business and enterprise-level applications.
